Enhance your cognitive health with Biohacking Core’s Sabroxy, an innovative formulation that delivers 150mg of patented Oroxilum indicum extract, standardized to contain a minimum of 10% Oroxylin A per capsule.

Sabroxy is no ordinary supplement. It harnesses the power of the Indian trumpet tree (Oroxylum indicum), primarily found in India and Southeast Asia. The extract from its dried bark, notably Oroxylin A, is packed with a plethora of pharmacologically active phytoconstituents.

Oroxylin A stands out with its neuroprotective properties, enhancing your body’s levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), thereby supporting memory and neuronal functions1.

Sabroxy is a product containing 10% Oroxylin A, derived from the dried bark of the Oroxylum indicum tree, commonly known as the Indian trumpet tree. This tree is predominantly found in India and Southeast Asia and is a rich source of many pharmacologically active phytoconstituents. Among these, Oroxylin A stands out as being especially significant.1

Oroxylin A plays a role in safeguarding nerves from chemical-induced damage and in elevating the body’s concentration of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)1. Consequently, it aids in bolstering memory and supporting neuronal functions1. Additionally, Sabroxy displays several therapeutic attributes, including1:

  • Antimicrobial capabilities,
  • Anti-inflammatory effects,
  • Antioxidant properties.3

Research indicates that specific extracts and isolates from Oroxylum indicum, like Sabroxy, possess properties that could hold promise for modern medicinal applications2.

What is Sabroxy

Sabroxy is derived from Oroxylin A, an extract sourced from the Oroxylum indicum tree native to India and Southeast Asia. Extracts from this tree have historically been employed in traditional Ayurvedic and other Asian medicinal practices to treat conditions such as diabetes, dysentery, jaundice, arthritis, and respiratory diseases, among others.
Contemporary research is exploring the potential of Oroxylin A as an adjunct therapy for enhancing cognitive function, fortifying memory retention, and mitigating the cognitive detriments associated with treatments like chemotherapy134.

Research on Sabroxy

In a rigorous 12-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving 82 participants, the supplementation of Oroxylum indicum (500 mg taken twice daily) demonstrated notable enhancements in episodic memory, immediate word recall, and numeric memory3. Yet, the researchers emphasized the need for extended studies to better comprehend and appraise O. indicum’s potential benefits in enhancing cognitive function among elderly individuals3.

A separate 2020 research assessed the impacts of O. indicum extract on mice. The results showcased that administering 250 mg of Sabroxy daily over a 4-week span effectively countered chemotherapy-induced cognitive decline4. Furthermore, the Sabroxy supplementation proved instrumental in safeguarding the mice from oxidative stress and potential mitochondrial dysfunction within the brain caused by chemotherapy4. Hence, Sabroxy is emerging as a promising therapeutic option to address cognitive issues stemming from chemotherapy4.

A 2007 investigation delved into the potential of Oroxylin A in mitigating memory deficits induced by scopolamine in mice. The research utilized various maze tests, like the Y-maze and the Morris water maze, to measure memory capabilities5. After inducing amnesia chemically, it was found that a daily supplementation of 5 mg/kg could reverse the detrimental cognitive effects5. This study also indicated that Oroxylin A might counteract GABA-induced inward currents in neurons, suggesting its potential efficacy in managing cognitive issues tied to GABAergic nervous system’s cholinergic dysfunction5.

Recommended Dosage

Sabroxy is deemed safe at dosages up to 500 mg/kg per day. A 2020 animal study sought to determine any hepatoxic effects (potential liver damage) from Sabroxy. Results from this study, conducted over a 4-week period, indicated no discernible alterations in the liver after Sabroxy treatment6.
